“This Ain’t Normal Folks” An Evening With Joel Salatin

Just got back from an amazing community potluck of nearly a thousand people capped off by a talk from one of my personal hero’s, Joel Salatin, and I’m feeling pumped about what’s happening in my little Southern Oregon valley and the world in general!

In this spirited talk Joel spans a wide range of topics including Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s), the restoration of a wisdom culture, the importance of restoring soil fertility, the struggle for community self-determination, the deterioration of our young adult male stock, and much more.

Special thanks to The Jackson County Local Action Committee (JCLAC) team for organizing such a rich event. It was a great pleasure to meet and sample delights from dozens and dozens of local farmers, ranchers and wildcrafters passionate about taking care of the community.

Since the Rogue Valley imports over 95% of the food residents consume it’s safe to say that a conversation about local food production is quite a reasonable thing to do. Thank you JCLAC!
